Hi Anatoly Run the code and you will see what happens. The wrong length is being shown for the second textbox... :-) You are looking for each textbox to have it's own length counter and not both the same. sure Looks like length is OK

Dennis, Are you actually producing an error when running the code? If so, please post the steps you are taking that cause the error. Incidentally Brandon, your code has a small error - you are using testText$ for both textboxes whereas the second "!contents" and display should use testText2$. This is not actually required since each time you issue a #winHdle.txtHdle "!Contents varName$" the varName$ variable is overwritten with the contents of the TextBox being queried no matter if it has text in it or nothing at all. If nothing is contained in the TextBox then the varName$ variable contains an empty string that has a length of zero. The time where you would need different variables is if you were to issue to contents request for each TextBox one right after the other without setting the StaticText in between each. {:0) Brandon Parker
