Hei,
In the old forum, i saw different difficult ways to protect software. Get the software serial of a harddisk, dll,...for serials,
But,..
copy : wmic bios get serialnumber |clip open notepad , paste and save as serial.bat
copy the bat file to your program folder !
'get bios serialnumber '20181220 Sver, Winsum/Nederland
on error goto [end] nomainwin run "serial.bat", HIDE 'bat file tell=0 'reset '--------------------------------- [w] if tell=4 then [end] 'max 8 sec '-------- timer 2000, [w2] wait [w2] timer 0 '-------- tell=tell+1 clip$="" '-------------clipboard to string$ calldll #user32, "OpenClipboard",h as long, result as long calldll #user32, "GetClipboardData",_CF_TEXT as long,_ txt as long CallDll #user32, "CloseClipboard", r as boolean '----- clip$=trim$(winstring(txt)) clip$=lower$(clip$) '------- if instr(clip$,"serial")=0 then [w] '------- serial$=word$(clip$, 2) 'second word = biosserial '--- notice serial$ 'compare the serial with the serials in your program [end] end

Pretty cool. You could equally pipe the output | to a file name of your choice and later open and check the file contents.

Yes, or get all : (wmic computersystem get name && wmic bios get serialnumber && wmic os get Caption && wmic cpu get name && wmic cpu get numberofcores && wmic computersystem get model && wmic ComputerSystem get TotalPhysicalMemory && wmic computersystem get manufacturer && wmic logicaldisk get size, freespace, caption && wmic os get SerialNumber && wmic nic get MACAddress)|clip
or real harddisk serial

You might find, on some systems, that the manufacturer didn't actually input that information... strange, but it happens....
