Using Ubuntu, I can't seem to get LB5 to work. I've downloaded the zip file, extracted all to a folder, changed the permission CHMOD +x, but still cant get anything to run. Anybody have a step by step to see what I possibly missed?
Thanks, in advance.

As per the 'readme' did you enter at the terminal prompt ( after permission change)..
./lin32-347 lb5alpha.im Works for me on Linux Mint
For Raspberry Pi use the rpi-alpha file:
./rpi-alpha lb5alpha.im ..after changing permission
Works fine for me.

Another issue that could come up is that if you are running on a 64 bit system, you may need to get the 32 bit compatibility packages if you don't already have them.
Here's a thread from Chris Iverson that might help if you don't have the 32 bit compatibility packages. It's very simple. Three commands to install these packages from the Ubuntu repository. I already had them from another 32 bit program I had installed in the past. The 64 bit version of LB5 is coming in the future. Until then we just need the 32 bit compatibility packages.

I am using Windows 7 and downloaded LB 5 this morning. I get an error "Unhandled exception message not understood," while using the "preference" option. I made two changes: Start in full screen and auto indent. When I select the Proceed or Continue option the message does not go away. The Exit option closes the program. Thank You... Ronnie

Ronnie the preferences are not implemented yet. It’s in the readme file.
