I can't figure out the best place to post working code for small programs and snippets. I hate cluttering the wrong thread sharing my little programs and snippets. I think the JB forum has something like that. Should I just share most of the code I'm thinking of sharing at the JB forum?
I see the thread for community projects, but I don't think most of the code I would like to post would really fit that bill. Not that I would have any problem with any of it being included with LB. If I post it I expect it to be for anyone to use however they want to use it. I don't even feel the need to be credited for it. I just want to share some code in case someone else will be able to use it or be inspired by it to come up with a better idea. But I want to make sure I'm posting it in the right place to avoid cluttering up other threads.
So I guess my suggestion is to either create a thread specifically for code snippets and small programs, or else clarify a current thread's description so that people will know that's where to post that kind of thing.

Post your small programs and snippets on the appropriate board for the topic; games, hardware, database, etc. I've edited the descriptions to make it clear that these boards are for discussion, questions and sharing.
Sorry if this wasn't clear. We had to move the community from a different service that we'd used for for over a decade when that service abruptly closed. I was unavailable at that time and it was all a bit confusing for a while, but our generous staff did a fantastic job.

One of the things I loved about it was the shared program code.

A lot of my little programs are for making calculations for solar panels, LED circuits and stuff like that. I'm still not sure where to put them. Would you call that a hardware program?

If you aren't sure, place them on the general code board. We hope to provide a wiki, but Stefan is still trying to work that out.

We need a wiki again, but of course that is a place for sharing good quality code fragments and programs and not so much for a personal scratchpad. I think traffic to our community has suffered since the wiki was shut down because there was a lot of organic search engine traffic that came our way from it. Alyce is smartly sharing a link to a backup of our old wiki which is great. I hope we can get a real editable version of the wiki online, and especially now we will have all this new LB5 content to add to it.
