Hi just joined the forum. What I was wondering is have many games been published with Liberty basic . I haven't tried it yet and was going to download and try it later today.
How does it compare to AGK2 or pure basic . ? Is there much documentation? What do you use it for ? Have any commercial titles been written with it? Look forward to your feedback .

Liberty is a traditional BASIC with a GUI twist. We are just on the cusp of going cross platform. So commercial games are not really what we have been about. But unless you try you will never know. Start with Liberty BASIC V4.5.1 Leave v5 for now till it is better developed.

Liberty BASIC comes with an sprite engine. 2D games are doable, ie: platformers, side scrolling action games, graphical adventures, RTS, and the like.

There is more: midi playing, wav files for sound effects. Backgrounds , animated sprites. Play with the mouse, keyboard events or a joypad. Liberty Basic can create an stand-alone application when you register your copy. For playing around and coding you can download it and use it without a registration key, but you will see a popup after a testing period. LB is going cross-platform: win, linux , mac and raspberry Pi. LB is the bigger brother of JB.
