Hi guys,
has anyone written code for calculating the Gauss (from geographical) and geographic (from Gaussian) plane coordinates?
Thank you.

I'm not entirely clear what you want. Do you want to transform latitude/longitude to/from x/y/z? Or are you talking about coordinates in a projected map of the sphere's surface? And incidentally did the hyperbolic functions work for you- and the example of mapping the Earth's surface?

Hi tenochtitlanuk,
The formulas for calculating of hyperbolic sine and vice versa are OK, as well as the mapping the Earth's surface, thanks.
Now I look for formulas for the transformation of geographic coordinates (longitude, Latitude, Ellipsoidal height) in Gauss coordinates from Greenwinch, As in this example:
8.583482512E,45.331406194N,215.787 >>> 1498180.0910,5044505.2910,171.90
1498166.1390,5044492.1330,171.89 >>> 8.583418178E,45.331363547N,215.776
Thank You, Angelo.
