Are there any other ways to introduce a delay without using WAIT or TIMER? Qbasic had SLEEP, but I don't think Liberty Basic has that.

Not directly built-in, but there's a very simple API call that lets you sleep for as long as you want.
call Sleep 1000 'Sleep for 1000 milliseconds
Sub Sleep ms CallDLL #kernel32, "Sleep",_ ms as long,_ ret as void End Sub
