When editing in Liberty Basic editor (ver 4.5.1 ) the cursor is just thin vertical line, when near the left edge it is nearly impossible to see.
Any way to make this cursor bigger. Tried Win 10 cursor size setting, that works on a lot of stuff, but not this editor ???x

I do believe the cursor size is typically user-dependent and LB's IDE does not have any way to change it. If you are running Windows, search for "Change cursor thickness" and you can change the size of the cursor for your entire system.

TRied changing curser size in Win10, and it changes the size for every thing (like this forum), but not LB basic editor. Also is there a way to post a JPG image directly from my computer files. The insert image button above wants a URL link. Also tried past, but no luck. . Well, I did change the size of the cursor, but not the tiny blinker that indicates where you are about to insert text Oh well.

Oh yeah, I read what you asked as how to change the pointer thickness. Although Windows allows the cursor thickness to be changed, I do not believe LB's IDE takes this into consideration.
Also, if you need to add a file you can use the "Add Attachment" button at the top right of the post editing box, but use it sparingly; there is a maximum amount of storage that we actually have available.

What you can do is change font size if that helps.

To Microsoft the "Cursor" refers to the mouse pointer, the blinking line is normally referred to as the "Caret".
However even Microsoft swap the terminology within there own documentation!
Obviously the Caret size increases with the font, however this generally doesn't increase the thickness.

Ok right, just did some tests. The caret is always thin, if you increase the font size it will become larger but you should restart Liberty to see the changes. It goes larger but thin still.

Hello, last night I searched for and modified some settings in the Registry for "Caret Width". Found 4 instances of "Value Name" that I changed to "8". The original values ranged from "1" to "4", "decimal" value. This DID make the caret wider in Notepad, but no help with Liberty BASIC's editor. Sorry, can't help with this. As a side note: back on ConForums Liberty BASIC website, there were strict rules AGAINST posting any REGISTRY HACKS, is that still the case today? Just need to know before I post something I shouldn't.

Windows allows to do it via GUI since Win XP, you just have to Google for it But as you discovered, it does work only with Notepad (hey, Visual Studio 2010 obeys too)

Well, I have tried all sorts of cursor sizing stuff, and all works for the cursor, but not the little black vertical line in the editor (LB Editor) , particularly when over at the left edge near the screen edge where there is the editor outline line. But I have learned to live with it even though when I start typing a change I find it is somewhere where I didn't expect it to start editing. But many thanks to all that tried to help me.

Finally figured out how to post what I am seeing. Note the tiny vertical bar that is my cursor when in LB editor. I can change the cursor on lots of stuff, but this one stumps me. Well that didn't work. So clink on the link below, scroll down then click on the listing image to make larger. Red arrow points to tiny vertical bar. . paulsironhorse.smugmug.com/Misc-stuff-2/
