Scripting the Liberty BASIC Editor, windows programming

I was watching a YouTube video by Carl for using an external editor instead of the LB  editor.
I have it all set up and it everything seems to work ok to the point that it doesn't show the code on the external editor (EditPadLite in this case).
Can anyone help?

run Q$ + programmersNotepad$ + " "+ Q$ + idefilename$() + Q$

You're missing a quote.

Your run command winds up running the following:

"C:\Program Files\Just Great Software\EditPad Lite 8\EditPadLite8.exe "C:\Users\Name\AppData\....".


Add another Q$ just after "programmersNotepad$".

run Q$ + programmersNotepad$ + Q$ + " "+ Q$ + idefilename$() + Q$
