Quite recently - I don't think more then month ago - I start getting errors from JB/LB on codes copied from forums It just points to first line with indent and says Syntax error Then looking close, it seems that indents are made not with spaces or tabs but with pairs of (space - unbreakableSpace), that is chr$(32) (normal space) and chr$(160) And on chr$(160) LB stops. So you either do mass replace chr$(160) to space (I an not entering chr$(160) - I just copy it from code) or go and check Setup|Preferences|Filter bad characters
Now I pretty sure "Setup|Preferences|Filter bad characters" is ON by default so may be noone notices that.
I am getting it on Crome.
Anybody have this?
Is it a problem, at all? (I think that older versions without that item "Setup|Preferences|Filter bad characters" in setup will get hard-to-use with forums. JB 1.01, LB 4.04, LB Pro 4.04 (? not sure about Pro numbering) )
I know we discovered this a while ago and Carl amended the filter bad characters routine. However I tried chrome and I tried switching filter bad characters off, but I can still copy code from the forum that runs. Is there a specific link that misbehaves?
I did some tests Then I manually select and copy code, it works OK it is then I press "copy code" link above code block, chr$(160) get implanted in code. so it could be recent thread or old thread - it gets changed after "copy code".
