Hi, Crosswords are in magazines and each grid is a Persian carpet of woven words. One can't get enough. However once it's fulfilled it becomes of no interest except if you erase it whether it's possible. Moreover, being disabled I find it more exhilarating to play on screen and in my favorite web browser.Seeking for the definitions on line is also a game in itself and I love surfing in the fresh air :-) This said, crosswords are only interesting when the answers are unknown then I hope to receive a lot of unknown grid written with this small program I made in Liberty Basic (source available on demand) : crossword zipIt will write a html that can be sent away attached to an email. Mine : dumontsamuel@orange.fr I wish to start an online crossword collection. Thanks

So this is a Crossword editor? The design looks very nice. A welcome addition would be to save/load crossword files.

You’re right but I didn’t design it to manage thousand of files. And I will never have to if my odd game doesn’t meet the success I wish it would. So what’s the use? In fact if I had to implement a save/load feature LB wouldn’t be a good idea. You need MFC to do it. Visual Basic has it in retail version I think. Anyway I don’t know this BASIC.Liberty suits me in mind and deed Thank you

Reading and writing files it not that difficult. Look at lbpe.wikispaces.com/XML%20Data%20Storage for a simple example. This in the Liberty BASIC Programmers Encyclopedia, a very useful information source

Janet, I've never seen a picture of you but I know you posted a lot of super code on the original Liberty Basic board. You're looking good!
