Yes thanks for posting these texts. They pack a lot in and make some sense of how Liberty leverages the API. Winter reading.

You are welcome. Just thought there might be a few useful tidbits in them.
More to come.

Even as someone experienced with win32 programming, I really appreciate how well you're pulling all this together, and relating it to LB. Looking forward to more!

Parts V and VI of things you do not want to know.
I am taking some time out to write an app to keep all this (plus more) in one place and read it similar to the old WIN 95 help. Besides, I think I have bored you folks enough for a while.

The attached zip file contains:
API_WIN_.EXE API_WIN_IDX.DIZ API_WIN_.CFG
and some updates in WINDOWS_API_1.RTF through WINDOWS_API_6.RTF
Hopefully the exe will make it a little easier to find things

Thanks for sharing Walt, any chance you could share the code for the exe. I'd like to utilise the format for a procedures manual for my workplace.
thanks in advance metro

Thanks for sharing Walt, any chance you could share the code for the exe. I'd like to utilise the format for a procedures manual for my workplace. thanks in advance metro The source code is in a language you probably do not have. If you send me a pm with the title you want and your email address I will give you a copy of the exe with that title.
To use it you would have to set up your CFG in the same format. The _IDX.DIZ is just a list of items in any order.
PS: Better yet, I will modify the source and the CFG so the title is pulled from the CFG. That way anyone can use it just by changing the title in the CFG. How is that?

Ok. Check back tomorrow. I will have to put in a statement about share-ware. I have also found some items that need to go into the index.
