The attached zip contains updated versions of:
WINDOWS_API_1.ZIP through _6.ZIP API_WIN_.CFG API_WIN_IDX.DIZ API_WIN_.EXE
New:
ADDENDUM_1.RTF API_WIN_FORMATS.TXT
API_WIN_FORMATS.TXT explains how to set up the configuration file(API_WIN_.CFG) and the index file(API_WIN_IDX.DIZ) in the event you want to use API_WIN_.EXE for a project of your own.
There will be an update to API_WIN_.EXE when I get to the point of adding file links to the .RTF files. In the meantime, if you have any problems, suggestions, or questions, please ask them on the Liberty Basic forum. Do NOT send me a private message.

For my own use, which I link in to Alyce Watson's excellent LB Workshop IDE, I have produced Walt Decker's in .chm help format. This does not change the content and gives Walt Decker full acknowledgement. Would anyone else be interested and if they are would it be OK to produce a link to it.

I have no objection. The more programming resources available the better. I am curious though: 1. Why did you go to the trouble when I have supplied a reader that users can use and adapt to their own purpose? 2. I have never produced a .chm so how difficult is it for a user to keep the .chm updated as more information is added? 3. If you supply a link to your .chm, do you intend to keep it updated for others?

.chm are the Windows standard help files. I can merge them, so I can have various help files in one document that I can access on my IDE, giving me a lot of information at my fingertips. For example, I have Help files for LB 4.5, LB Newsletters, APIs for LB, your document and various others all in one .chm help file.
I use HelpNDoc, so it is easy for me to update.
If I supply a link, then I would keep it updated, because I would update it for myself. There link would simply be a file transfer for me.
LB users would have the choice of using your program (which I have on my desktop) or a .chm file or both.
By the way, mighty I say that your program is extremely good and if I didn't use the .chm system myself, I would need very happy with it. So far, you are there only one who has shown an interest in my post, so nothing may come off it anyway.
To conclude, please keep up the good work, it is very enlightening.

There is one short one planned, then I will have to decide between directories and files as a group and graphics. Reading the registry might also be an option.

I am curious. Is anyone besides Metro using API_WIN_.EXE for h/er own purpose?
Edit: I mean for a help to others using your own RTF files.

Yes, I have it on my desktop and source .chm help file derived from it on the help menu on LB Workshop.
