Here is the rule I mean
So if you think it should not be always enforced, make it an option.

I am pretty sure I allow words on any direction. When I said I always check and they need not be there that is because the player does not tell you how many crossover words are created, if any at all. You need to show me what did not work. There is only one set of rules. So what is not working?
I can add s to hair I can bridge a with data or add ost to h it all seems to work for me.

This is what is what I mean by crossover words, its standard Scrabble. There is no option.

so suppose first word was "SUAVE", second was "ANTE" Could third word be "NEW" or is it required that horisontals through new letters E and W form valid words also?

Yes absolutely. If you place NEW then VE and EW need to be valid words also. That’s one of the main Scrabble rules.
