Hi - I am new to LibertyBasic (am an old VB 6) programmer and have some questions. I am interested in registering LibertyBasic but have a project that I want to make sure I can create. Currently I am using a menu program to create a Shell File, with tabs, menu of CD programs and a text box description to run programs from a CD/DVD. I would like to know if it is possible to create the program with LibertyBasic.
Also, when I distribute this program with a CD how many Libertybasic programs/dlls will I need to add and how much space do they take up? Thank You... Ronnie

I think I'd want to know more about the project to be sure, but with what you've written so far, I think what you're asking for should be completely doable in LB.
As for the runtime engine, there would wind up being a total of 9 files to cover the whole engine, with a minimum size of about 2.75MB. This would not include the file that includes your compiled code, which makes both the total size and file count larger, though not by much.

You can make almost anything you like with Liberty BASIC easily. Your distribution will be a couple of megabytes because you need the dlls that interpret and run your BASIC program. No big deal really, nearly everything you download these days is megabytes in size, no problem to the pc and no problem to modern modem/broadband connections.
Vb6 only runs beacause Windows already has megabytes of dlls downloaded to interpret and run vb6. So you are just downloading alternative .dlls
