Good evening, I have been using LB for several years and I have a license. I try to upgrade to version 4.5.1 without success? The file ERROR.LOG indicates :
Error log timestamp 5/20/2018 21:11:45
The registers were: EIP = 0x0225020d ESP = 0x0018fea8 EBP = 0x00000000 EAX = 0x007b4444 EBX = 0xffffe001 ECX = 0x00000100 EDX = 0x0008e3c8 EDI = 0x00000001 ESI = 0x007b4444 CS = 0x00000023 DS = 0x0000002b ES = 0x0000002b SS = 0x0000002b End Registers
Error log timestamp 5/20/2018 21:11:45 Message 1001: a non-continuable protection violation has occurred. Check ERROR.LOG file.
The program does not open! Do you have any idea? I'm on W7 SP1 64bits. Philippe

It is very likely that you have DEP set for all programs. The default setting is for DEP to protect only system and Windows files. So your computer is super protected and won’t let programs like Liberty get memory space to start up. You need to set DEP back to its default setting which is perfectly safe. DEP is usually set on for all programs in a corporate environment where the programs that are allowed to run is strictly controlled.
Use the Windows help system to show you how to set DEP to its default setting protecting only System and Windows files. Liberty will load and run then. DEP is new(ish) which is why you have not seen the problem before.
