Hi all. I'm really perplexed because trying to save an icon (created with LB Pro 4.5.1 - Icon Editor) or trying to Save To Runtime EXE I get the error message: "Runtime Error: Bitmap format not compatible with Icon (see error.log for more information). Then, when I verify if there is a saved file I find it but when I try to open the saved file (with Icon Editor) I get the error message: "Runtime Error: read beyond end of stream (see error.log for more information). Please somebody can explain to me how I'm mistaken.... Thanks to all and bye fox

I just tried to create and save an .ico file with icon editor. It worked for me. Are you changing the name to .bmp or trying to load a .bmp? It needs to be .ico file.

Hi Rod. No: I'm trying to save or open or Save To Runtime EXE only files .ico. And I did a new installation of LB Pro 4.5.1 only some days ago. Thanks and bye fox

Perhaps another pro user could test to see if we have a bug for Carl. Just fire up the icon editor found in the setup menu. Then create something real simple and then save and reload it as a .ico file. Does it error? if so what error?

Thanks Metro, Fox, is your monitor special in any way. 4k or HDR? What color depth does it report? Right click on desktop then Display Settings, Display, Advanced Display Settings.

Your suggestion has been precious, Rod. I modified the text size (of the screen) from medium 125% to little 100% and now Icon Editor seems to work correctly. Thanks a lot again and bye. fox

If its as simple as opening, creating, saving, then re-opening again, then file open on the new ico, and viewing, its ok here. running lb pr0 4.5.1 Henri do not see how to do an attach file (of the created ico)......

Hi Carl (and all). Excuse me for the long time passed, but I thought after my problem has been solved no one would be interested to it and so after my reply to Rod (and also because I had some other problems) I have no more read Forum's answers. Yes, obviously, I have a (default) printer installed on my system and it is set to work correctly with all documents.....or what do you mean for "printer set"? I beg again your pardon and I thank you. fox

It sounds like you do have a default printer set, so I'm not sure why you are still getting this error.

Hi Carl, I beg your pardon if my English is not good and so I am not able to explain accurately my experience. But, as I wrote above, after I modified the text size (of the screen) Icon Editor started working correctly. I don't know if so I eliminated the cause of anomaly but now Icon Editor works very well.
Thanks a lot for your interest and bye. fox
