Hello,
I am learning programming at my leisure. In my opinion, Liberty BASIC is awesome and useful. I really like it.
Since ordinary modern developers want to use a programming language to write both application softwares and computer games, the multimedia potential of version 5 should be upgraded. Many modern languages are actually good at these two aspects. Now I have some suggestions on version 5. These suggestions should make version 5 very popular. Furthermore, the company of Liberty BASIC will also make a great deal of money.
1. Make version 5 support PNG, GIF, JPG files. And support full-screen mode in games.
2. Make version 5 use DirectX or OpenGL. As a result, games made with version 5 will have smooth graphic.(Without flickering and screen tearing)
3. Add Box2D engine to version 5. Users can easily write good physics games. (For example, Angry Bird type game.)
4. Make version 5 can import Spine skeletal animation files.
5. Make version 5 support MIDI, WAV and MP3 format files.
6. Make version 5 can export to five important platforms: IOS, Android, Linux, Mac, Windows. Many indie game developers want to sell their games in these platforms. They will become customers to buy version 5.
Liberty BASIC will become many developers' favourite language. Moreover, many Just BASIC users will finally buy Liberty BASIC version 5.
