Have people been having trouble installing and using Liberty BASIC on Windows 10 recently?
I have not seen any issues in my own testing, but I have had a couple of reports of Liberty BASIC somehow not putting its files in the correct folders on installation as to make it unusable.
On the other hand, it isn't clear to me from some of these messages that the users are actually not just copying files around wherever they like and expecting things to still work, like they might have on an older Windows version such as XP.

My Windows 10 installation was flawless. The "new" Windows User Account Control environment with its virtual folders and %appdata% folder seems to catch folks out and I would not be surprised if folks tried to simplify where stuff is kept. Perhaps we need a tutorial explaining how apps are installed these days? We also have to remember that in the past, when the Liberty family were not UAC compliant, that we had been recommending that folks did not use the default folders. Some may still be following that advice even though it is now obsolete.

Installed LB 4.5.1 to the default location without issues. May be the folks that have trouble also tweaked their system too much, so that it is no longer stable. I have had best results when leaving Windows alone, without any tweaking.

Just now reading this post but I am running on Windows 10 with the new August Big update, and it works fine. I had 10 when I purchased and installed the version of Pro that I use now, and all is ok.
