My question concerns a Texteditor, and the command "!modified? answer$"
How can the string answer$ be reset to "false" after changes to the Texteditor's contents have been saved.
If the Texteditor changes have already been saved, I'm trying to avoid the "Confirm dialog box" asking, “changes have been made save or quit anyway”.

If I recall there were issues with the flag. The simplest solution is to copy the contents at the start and compare for equality at the end. If the contents are not the same then save them away with or without confirmation dialog.

Thanks Rod, I was thinking along those lines but thought there must be a more elegant solution than that. Maybe there isn't!
