Is this is even possible? The iOS devices use an ARM processor similar to the Raspberry Pi. Just curious what might be possible since the Checkra1n jailbreak has made it easier to access the underlying OS. Imagine being able to program LB native on an iPad.

While I'm guessing it might be possible to trick your ARM based Android phone or tablet into running the Raspberry Pi version of LB5, it seems very unlikely that you will make it run on an iOS device in that fashion.

While the instruction sets may be similar, the system call interfaces between Linux and Darwin (or iOS, for that matter) are fundamentally different. That is, the kernels differ.
However, it is possible to get an Android tablet or phone to run LB5, but that would take a lot of work.

That makes sense. And...bummer. It would be awesome to be able to run LB on iOS.

I wonder what life would be like running Liberty BASIC on Friend OS (https://friendos.com/). That would give us operation on ANYTHING. Of course, I have no idea what it would take to get LB to run on Friend OS. It might be easier to teach giraffes how to fly.

I'd be thrilled to see that!
