a newbie question....a game I'm writing!
nomainwin
WindowWidth=1919
WindowHeight=1079
UpperLeftX=1
UpperLeftY=1
graphicbox #a.a, 0,0,1919,1079
open "a" for window_popup as #a
and the program continues on and works great BUT the taskbar is always there and I'd love to get rid of it
Your help is GREATLY Appreciated..
P.S. The last time I had a formal BASIC course I filled out the instructions with a lead pencil and put the cards into a card reader.....1970ish... no joke!

Since you're already using a popup window, the easiest way is to just make the window the same size as the display. By creating a borderless, frameless content-only window the same size as the screen, Windows will automatically hide the taskbar for your program.
nomainwin WindowWidth=DisplayWidth WindowHeight=DisplayHeight UpperLeftX=1 UpperLeftY=1
graphicbox #a.a, 0,0,DisplayWidth,DisplayHeight open "a" for window_popup as #a #a.a "place 400 400 ;\Press any key to exit" #a.a "when characterInput [c]" #a.a "setfocus" wait
[c] close #a end
