the drawbmp() function creates a memory bitmap from the video hardware. What kind of bitmap does it create,
one from createbitmap(),
createcompatiblebitmap(),
createdibsetion() createdibitmap()
or is the handle returned from HBMP() a DC(device context) or the result of a selectobject() operation?

The CreateDIBitmap function is used in the Smalltalk libraries when loading a bitmap into memory. Is that the scenario you are working with, loading from a file?

Mr. Gundel, I mis-wrote. That should be getbmp() function. I am trying to figure out how to write directly to the memory bitmap created.
But now that I know what kind of memory bitmap is created by LOADBMP() I assume the getbmp() creates the same type and should be able to come up with something to write directly to it.
