Carl updateing on old computer

Carl , This is texas Pete . I am trying to up grade lb4.04 to lb 4.05 to lb5.0 on a computer . I have been with you for years. I have my original registration code. but lb 4.05 won't take it.  this is on an old windows 7.  Can you give me a small hand.  I am moving eventually, to windows 11.
