Hello,
I read somewhere that the unregistered version of Liberty Basic only allows you to run small programs before it requires you to register. I can't find any mentions of this or any mentions on the unregistered version's limitations. Could someone please be kind enough to post them or link to the article that mentions them?
Thanks

There is only a nag screen which takes longer and longer to clear. So you can use the entire suite of commands without restriction but after a week or so the software takes ages to load and open and so becomes unusable.
Run the free trial, see how you get on with the IDE and sample programs, I am pretty sure you will like the interface and that you will love the speed of a modern BASIC. Liberty BASIC is pretty unique in giving easy access to GUI programming on top of its BASIC roots. Sound and graphics too!
All for a one off modest cost.

If you feel you have not had enough time to evaluate Liberty Basic, why not try the free Just Basic. This is quite a large subset of Liberty Basic and should enable you to decide if you like it. I doubt you will find a ready made GUI capable Basic at the cost for Liberty Basic and the same ease of use. It is really is easy to use and you will find lots of examples included and there are lots more available in the forum and also the newsletters. If you are not interested in GUI the basic Basic is also very easy to use.

I think this used to be a restriction, back when Silver licenses were still a thing.
The Silver license would remove the limit and the nag screen, and the Gold license would let you use the runtime engine to compile and distribute apps.
I think the limit was removed in the evaluation version once the Silver license level was discontinued.

Actually I tested what Rod stated by setting the year on my pc's clock to 2076, and it made me wait an entire 162 seconds. I actually own Liberty Basic Pro; the reason I ask is that I am creating a tutorial called "Liberty Basic Dojo". In it, you would learn the Liberty Basic Language by building a simple idle tycoon similar to Adventure Capitalist. I remembered from a long time ago that there was a size limit, so I wanted to know if it was still in effect, so I know how far my reader can get before having to purchase a license. I tried setting my forum display name to "Liberty Basic Dojo", but any form of the words Liberty or Basic gets the name rejected. I guess I will have to tell the reader to use Just Basic. I tried contacting Carl a few days ago about a discount on Liberty Basic for my readers to use, but he hasn't responded yet.
