Hello there
Having heard that Visual Studio Code is hands-down best code editor on the planet,
I got succumbed to temptation and installed it.
I've seen these threads
libertybasiccom.proboards.com/thread/1057/visual-studio-code-extension
libertybasiccom.proboards.com/thread/2436/coming-back-after-12-years
I installed that LB extension.
Now I have code editor, with
* lb syntax coloring
* code folding
* some auto suggestions
(but that is marked "abc"
- I guess it is just right from the dictionary, no much AI involved?)
I spent some time and made some tasks that calls LB with
-R -A
and with
-D
with current file.
(really, I end up creating c:/bin, adding it to PATH and putting CMD files there.
Because it just did not worked other way, and errors from Powershell says nothing to me.)
And I tried to put some keybingings over these tasks, but somehow now
I press Shift F5 - it shows me selected task - but I need extra ENTER to actually run it
(probably I could survive needing one extra ENTER)
But it really took too much time to be any fun.
But I hope wheel is already invented.
Is the any folks who actually uses Visual Studio Code with LB?
What can I have above things described, and how?
Code completion using just my code, not general dictionary?
Any way to get browsable list of functions, subs, labels?
(I wonder if I should try to download VB extensions and see what it'll bring,
but I'm afraid it will suggest all stuff .NET that just not applicable to LB, at all.
Could it be disabled in parts, like
- I want autocomplete of my variables and functions
- but I do not need any suggestions on .NET framework stuff
?
)
EDIT
+, Could I Bind LB on actual Run button/menu?
