Hi all. Please, excuse me for my bad English.
I would like to know if a texteditor has limits of storage of characters at screen. In other words, if there is a limited number of characters I can write before texteditor stops to display other inputs and cursor stays immobile also if I try to insert other data. Thanks a lot for any help. Bye. fox

I was sure there used to be a limit, a Windows restriction of about 32k but that seems to have been enlarged.
nomainwin texteditor #main.te 0, 0, 800, 600 WindowWidth=800 WindowHeight=600 open "Text" for window as #main #main "trapclose [quit]"
for l= 1 to 90000 t$=right$("00000"+str$(l),5)
t$=t$+"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" t$=t$+"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
t$=t$+chr$(13)+chr$(10) #main.te t$; next
wait [quit] close #main end

The limit is not in the texteditor, but in Liberty itself. If you run your code Rod, it works until you try to copy it all. "String too big" issue we discussed In this threadSo, we can use the texteditor which is more limited to the amount of ram one has, and we can save the contents to file etc, but can not use the "!copy" or "!cut" commands past the Liberty limit of - I believe it was 32k
