We used to have an online classroom for all registered users of Liberty BASIC. A bunch of years back I was forced to close down our LBU forum because it kept getting hacked and its contents replaced with porn.
Now, I'm thinking of reopening the LBU and hosting it here on ProBoards.
I'd like to gauge interest. What do you think? Would you like to have an online classroom where I will be available to answer questions about learning programming in Liberty BASIC. Remember this is only available to customers. Or perhaps I can even grant access to anyone for a modest fee? That way we can include Just BASIC users.
Please respond with your thoughts.
Thanks,
-Carl

I agree with Ronnie. It would be a priviledge to have LBU on proboards. As a new Liberty Basic programmer, I have been able to accomplish a lot in a very short period of time. Good work Carl!

Sounds worthwhile! Looking forward to it if you decide to open it back up.

I thought that was supposed to be included in LB4.04. I remember it was about a hundred dollar package and I don't recall ever even seeing a link to it. The only thing I got for the extra $50 was the code formatting tool as far as I know. I remember trying to find LBU, but didn't have any luck. I don't really know what it is, but it sounds like it could potentially be useful. I wouldn't mind learning a few new tricks. I also miss all the posts on the conforums site. Whatever happened to that? I learned quite a bit from that forum. Carl did you know that the LB website still points to that dead link? <a href="http://libertybasiccom.proboards.com/">Liberty BASIC Forum on Proboards.com</a>

Is there still a mention of it somewhere on our website? The LBU got shut down because it was repeatedly being hacked, and it's contents replaced with pornographic material. I couldn't figure out how to stop it. The link you provide is to this site, not to the conforums site.

>>Liberty BASIC Pro has more than just a code formatter (...) Really, that info (with pictures) should be available at LB home page (is there LB Pro home page at all?)

I think it's a great idea. I picked up some useful stuff on the old LBU over on conforums.

I've had that problem with every interactive site I've ever made. I finally gave up. Is it easy to block that kind of thing on conforums? I've often thought of starting a conforums or proboards site for some discussion involving some alternative energy experiments I've been doing.

I think that would be great to have it back. I would also be excited to see the possibility of some sort of community project.
