setting a standalone program to open in full screen

I am converting a program from qbasic to liberty basic

I have got it to open but cannot find out how to open in full screen.

It depends.
If your program is what is called "mainwin" - that is, console-type program with print and input - then you can set MAINWIN size (in characters)

For me
mainwin 300 300
opens it full secreen

This setting sticks, so to change it back to normal you should use something like
mainwin 64 25
(25 lines of 64 characters)
Or go to Setup\Preferences, change
Main window columns: rows:

If your program is GUI, then LB has window types ending with fs - full screen

window_fs
in
open "This is my program" for window_fs as #main
