Hi
Where can I get a copy of Freeform.BAS that does not contain errors?
Thanks

What specific errors are you talking about in the latest version that ships with LB V4.5.1?

Freeform.bas is in the %appdata% directory in the Liberty basic folder. An easier way to access it is to set preferences to open no file on startup , you will then find that you are in the example files directory when you click on open file.

Freeform runs OK for me with Liberty Basic but I cannot run the program from its interface it asks me to find the Liberty exe. I locate it and then get an error message saying Liberty was not found. I have the pro version so even copied the pro exe in the default directory and renamed it liberty, still it does not run. I can copy the generated code to the clipboard and paste it into the editor. Default installation on Windows 10. I can't see why it doesn't run out of the box.

Hi Obviously I know were it is. There are errors in the code that prevent it running ,after those some of the toll icons don't work properly, font$(1)= dFont$ ' had to move due to ERROR if makeStatusbar = 1 = 1 =1 or ttC = 1 then 'error
I just need a copy that I don't have to fix.
Thanks

Ok, freeform has been a collaboration. It will have bugs. However I can set or unset the statusbar and I can change fonts. We need a little more detail on the errors you are getting.

I forgot to say that there are many versions of free form, which is why we are specific about the location.

I have been successfully using freeform450 (7/31/2015) with no problems on Windows 10 with LB v4.5.1.
The first few times I tried to use it I copied and pasted the code it produced and tried to run it. Of course it didn't work and produced an error because I didn't realize that freeform does not produce a complete program, only the code to create the user interface layout.

So, Freeform runs, but the code it produces for you has errors?
If so, can you post some code that is generated that is faulty?

I was responding to the OP. I have no problems with Freeform now that I understand how it is intended to work.

I think Brandon was addressing zpq, since we have not heard any more from zpq it may be that he had the same experience as yourself.
