Hi, I'm also interested in whether there used to be versions of LIBERTY BASIC for DOS or was this BASIC dialect always developed for Windows?

No. The key aspect of Liberty is that it delivered a Windows compatible version of BASIC.

Well, then what operating system was LIBERTY BASIC originally developed for?

There was an early version for OS/2, but Windows obviously won the popularity contest...

The earliest Windows versions of Liberty BASIC were for Windows 3.x, which ran under DOS.
