Is there an instructional manual of any kind for Freeform. I'm able to run the program and create a test GUI screen. But after it creates the ".ffa" file, I'm not sure what it actually created, and what to do with it.
Thank you!
Joe

Since posting my question, I see that I can generate code and paste it into my LB program. Would still like to see instructions.

If you installed LB to the default dir then freeform.hlp can be found in c:\Program Filess (x86)\Liberty Basic v4.5.1 If you copy it to c:\users\YOUR-Username\AppData\Roaming\Liberty Basic v4.5.1 it will work when selecting help from freeform, and you won't have to find it every time after that. That's where freeform help button is sent to find it.
Another fix would be to open freeform450.bas in c:\users\YOUR-Username\AppData\Roaming\Liberty BASIC v4.5.1 using Liberty Basic.
Once you have it opened in LB look for..
[helpContents] gosub [deselectOnly] gosub [checkPosition] help$= DefaultDir$+"\freeform.hlp" run "winhlp32 ";help$ 'freeform.hlp" wait
Change help$ = DefaultDir$+"\freeform.hlp" to help$ = StartupDir$+"\freeform.hlp"
Then make the new tkn file in same dir - c:\users\YOUR-Username\AppData\Roaming\Liberty BASIC v4.5.1

Thank you. Now I just need to be able to open the hlp file in Windows 10. I was able to convert it to Word. It's just not perfect.

After you have copied the file freeform.hlp to c:\users\YOUR-Username\AppData\Roaming\Liberty Basic v4.5.1 or If you edited the freeform.bas file as instructed and created a new freeform.tkn file in c:\users\YOUR-Username\AppData\Roaming\Liberty Basic v4.5.1 all you need to do is open freeform from the Liberty run menu. Then use the Help>Contents button in the top menu to open it.
No need to use Word.

If you run the following code, does freeform.hlp open up for you?
help$= StartupDir$+"\freeform.hlp" run "winhlp32 ";help$ end

Finally got it to work by installing winhlp32 on my Windows 10 by following these instructions: github.com/knuth-konrad/winhlp32-on-windows10On the first download screen (Microsoft), I had to change the language to English. From there, the directions are straightforward. Thank you once again. Joe

Glad you got it figured out joeg.
I thought it might be that Win 10 was lacking the winhlp32 file. I am running from Linux/WINE and it is included in my windows environment.

Windows 10 comes with a basic shell winhlp32.exe that directs you to a Microsoft webpage stating that .hlp files are no longer supported.

They could have left the file there intact so compatibility isn't an issue with older programs. Maybe it causes other issues, who knows.
