Sorry to ask this. I'm sure others have already but I can't find the answer.
Is there a way to make the editor darker? Or black?

If you are asking about the LB IDE the answer is no. If you are talking about the text editor control you should be able to do that via the LB instruction set. You can set the IDE text size via "SETUP" -> "Editor Font".

I have glaucomma and am 90% blind. I have difficulty with the colors and intensity of the IDE text.
Your handle reminds me of an old tune titled, I think, "Shoo Fly Pie".

What I do is: 1) Load the LB IDE 2) Load NotePad 3) Open the file that the IDE has 4) Do my edits or design in NotePad 5) Save the NotePad text The text that I edited or created in NotePad is automatically in the LB IDE. Do not know if that will work with NotePad++ (do not have that app). It will work with WordPad provided it is saved as plain text. Maybe, if I live long enough I will write an editor for LB.

In case this can help.....
When I started coding with JB/LB I had a problem with the bright white background and looked for alternatives as well.
I finally settled on a couple of things.
1. I used my TV remote and lowered the brightness a lot.
2. In windows (10), I set the night light to come on at 600 pm, and set it low.
Most monitors/smart tv's set the brightness far too high when shipped. No need to be blaring such brightness at your eyes like that, and may even prolong the life of the LED'd/LCD's.
Set things up so that you can still see movies and web pages ok, but takes the brightness out of the IDE's white background.
I could be way off here, but this may help 'someone' someday.

I have Visual Studio Code and I do like that it's black. I'm not sure that it understands how to color code for Liberty Basic.

Visual Basic syntax makes pretty useful coloring.

Visual Basic syntax makes pretty useful coloring. Use Visual Studio Code. You can pick your own editor background color. Use the Liberty BASIC extention from Vytenus Narusis voor color. But you wil miss the fact that you can change the FONT and FONTSIZE in the LibertyBASIC Editor. I'm not sure but the LibertyBASIC-Pro editor has background coloring too? Gordon

Gordon I have Liberty Basic Pro but unfortunately there's no way to change the background color. I'll check out that extension in Visual Studio Code. Thanks.
