Hi again, 2 questions:
1. When I run this program, I get the message "Runtime Error: "isEmpty" not understood". It seems to happen on the print statement.
[Start] gosub [FilesAndFolders] print myDir$ goto [End]
[FilesAndFolders] 'define folders and files myDir$ = LEFT$(DefaultDir$, LEN(DefaultDir$) - 9) RETURN
[End] close #main end
2. When the program runs, the mainwin is tiny and must be expanded to read the contents. How do I make it start out larger?
As always, thanks so much for all of your help!

I forgot to remove the close #main statement that I tried in vain to get this to work. Please ignore it.

If I comment out the print line, I don't get the error.

>>the mainwin is tiny There is a mainwin size in options dialog, look for options or setup or preferences in the menu

Thanks, I looked there before but didn't notice it. Now if I can just figure out why the print command causes an error.
Appreciate the help!

Problem solved! The main window size was set to 0, -1. Now that it is set to larger values the print executes without throwing an error.
Thanks again for all the help I get here.

Glad you solved it (>>The main window size was set to 0, -1 one would never guess ) Just for a record, I tried it on LB 4.51, LB 4.04 and JB 2.0 Program works without errors. [Start] gosub [FilesAndFolders] print myDir$ goto [End]
[FilesAndFolders] 'define folders and files myDir$ = LEFT$(DefaultDir$, LEN(DefaultDir$) - 9) RETURN
[End] 'close #main end
