I have been using lbbrowse3.dll in a program for many years (thanks very much Alyse). However microsoft have now downgraded my computer and have stopped it working. It is so long since I wrote this section of the program that I cannot even remember how it works. Can someone suggest an alternative?
What I am doing is selecting a web page file to upload to my internet website. A php routine there receives it, security checks it and then ads it to the web site. It is all super easy to write web pages and then with two clicks upload them live onto the web. Thanks.

Not sure exactly what you want to continue doing. It's dead easy to ftp files from LB to a remote site. Read the titles of the files that comprise your web page and send them! Why do you need it 'security checked' at that end? It is as secure- or not- as your site, since you don't I presume tell other users the password to your site. You might find www.diga.me.uk/IOT1.html of some relevance.

Thanks for your interest. My program allows clients to produce web sites with a simple word type interface, i.e. just type in text, add pictures, and drag to suit. No coding, anyone can make a web site. Just as importantly editing the site is trivial. As an example affordablepricehousing.com Absolutely no coding needed. Limited bells and whistles, but good for sites with serious content. To up load you just click "Upload to Web" and via the lbbrowse dll and the program working hard, your new/revised page is available on the internet instantly. The standard ftp stuff, and google/microsoft site writing programs are much to complicated unless you are doing that as a full time job. The security is so no one else can access the server. Individual passwords, incorporated into the program, control and direct the new pages to the right domain. I can't give clients the site password.
As an addendum, the lbbrowse failed with a microsoft advert appearing saying "upgrade from internet explorer to the new browser". I have tried it again and some large customer must have complained to microsoft that they had broken the dll, they have now undone the downgrade, and at the moment lbbrowse is working again.
