Carl, Is it possible for the name of the tab to change once you save your code a new tab currently displays "untitled.bas" even after saving the newly created code page and you keep making changes to that code. once you hit "new file" a new "untitled.bas"(tab) is created and the tab you were just working on takes on the name of the file you saved it as. hope I've made sense there.

I'll take care of it.

Maybe i should have named this thread editor bugs and requests I seem to have strange behavior with the Linux version (could be the red wine) a "rem" by that I mean single quote or apostrophe placed directly in front of a wait statement has no effect that is once placed I the click elsewhere in my code and the "wait" remains in force and blue in colour (color) however add one white space (spacebar) between the quote and wait ...bingo wait is greyed (grayed) remove the quote and the wait statement remains greyed. hope that makes sense (shiraz does make you doubt yourself)

Have no fear I will fix it. Patience.

Regarding editor tabs, I'd like to be able to move them (not so important), and have a menu associated with the tab to allow saving, closing, etc. It feels awkward to need to use the main file menu for all of it. Maybe each tab could have a hamburger menu for this stuff. Hamburger Menu/Button

The editor and debugger are both quite unfinished. I'll probably not do much to address this for a while just so I can deal with some heavier lifting. Do you have an example application that uses the menu per tab idea so we can have a working example to discuss?

A hamburger menu can be a column of three dots, so it shouldn't feel cramped. I'm not sure I can point to an example of such a menu in tabs without checking around a little. I mentioned it because it might be easier to implement than a right-click menu. The right-click would be even better. The context menu is pretty common in tabs. For instance, the Chrome browser I'm using at this moment has them.

Forgot to mention that I agree the actual coding stuff must come before IDE stuff.

What about a double-click on each tab to close it.

What about a double-click on each tab to close it. I personally would prefer a small close button in the form of a small X on each tab. I do like the search bar that is opened when CTRL+F is pressed... {:0) Brandon Parker

I would imagine the "small x on each tab" is something Carl will probably implement for closing when he gets to that point. That's pretty much standard protocol in most tabbed editors.
Oh yea. Thanks for the tabs Carl Gundel. That is a nice feature. Not so much now, but in the long run. For now Ctrl+F then C works fine.
