Thank you from down Under... That's exactly where I got it. And I copied and pasted it into my code to make sure it was correct. But no luck. Maybe my PC, but when I run that line simply turns red and refuses to go any further.

Pardon my stupidity but what exactly is not working And are we talking LB5 or 4.5 I seem to get the correct result using the example code With LB4.5 that is This is especially useful if you want your user to select only what's available in the combobox array.

Yes it works in LB4, not LB5. Or maybe it's my system. Does it work in LB5 on Linux?

STYLEBITS is one of those places where LB's Win32 heritage leaks through.
STYLEBITS are not an LB tool; they are a way of accessing a Windows-specific feature that is not available on other platforms.
Because LB5 is cross-platform, and uses a custom GUI toolkit instead of using the one provided by Windows, STYLEBITS is one of those legacy features that simply isn't going to work as-is in LB5.
As an alternative, Carl has said that he plans to provide more built-in styling options for LB5(as the toolkit is fairly flexible), giving a cross-platform solution that hopefully negates the need for STYLEBITS.

I'm really looking forwards to the first cut of the help file! But I realise we are at the first alpha and the fact that it lives and breathes is amazing.

I may be able to add stylebits in and simulate the functionality of it. We will see.
