The help file for Lb4 states
I get a blank record first up (or no selection), should this default to selectindex(1)
list$(1)="one" list$(2)="two" list$(3)="three"
UpperLeftX = 100 UpperLeftY =100
WindowWidth = 270 : WindowHeight = 100 + rows*12
combobox #tbl.list, list$(), [tblSel], 5, 35, 200, 50 open "Select a Table" for window as #tbl wait [tblSel]
tblName$ = #tbl.list selection$() ' what was selected
print "tblName:";tblName$
if tblName$ = "" then
notice "Table selected is MT"
''goto [getTbl] end if wait [tblEx] close#tbl

Hmmmmmmmmmmm it works with the correct syntax for Liberty BASIC 4.5.1
list$(1)="one" list$(2)="two" list$(3)="three"
UpperLeftX = 100 UpperLeftY =100
WindowWidth = 270 : WindowHeight = 100 + rows*12
combobox #tbl.list, list$(), [tblSel], 5, 35, 200, 50 open "Select a Table" for window as #tbl wait
[tblSel] #tbl.list "selection? tblNames$" print tblNames$ wait
[tblEx] close#tbl

I stand corrected, Rod the code you posted still gives me the same result. I then used the code from Lb4 help and found it does work as it should. I'm a little handicapped here using the lb5-347(win) version in wine on linux and you will see from the screenshot it's difficult to read the code in the editor. I'll double check before I post next time. unable to connect to Sqlite with Linux version ATM
