Windows 10, adding masks, screen size, and such. Hi. just some questions here. I'm totally blind, and so it's harder for me to figure this stuff out. I'm in Windows 10, now. Now, does Windows 10 still support a screen size of 698 x 1333 pixels? That seems to have been the largest pixel dimensions that would show up on the screen in Windows 7. Is Windows 10 the same? Next, I notice that the Image323 DLL's AddMask function takes a lot longer to run in Windows 10, like 10 times longer. I do animations sometimes where the computer generates sprites at random, and I have found a way to do that off the visual screen between drawsprites commands, save, and then return to work after drawsprites. In Windows 7 I could have enough time to add a mask without slowing the computer down, but not in Windows 10. I might be able to get around this by copying the graphic up above and using FloodFill to convert it quickly, but I wonder if there's another DLL out there I could use to quickly add a mask. If you explored blitter api code, in particular transparentblt you would find that you don’t need to bother masking any graphics. Windows uses the pc physical screen dimensions to dictate what screen sizes are available, so every machine will offer different options. Probably better to code a graphic window of a standard size than attempt to cater for multiple full screen dimensions. You can pack a lot in an 800x600 graphicbox.
