Would you like to help with testing this app for Liberty Basic 4.5.1? It is an app to help new users, and a quick reference for experienced users. No Help file yet, working on it. If anyone could use it for a while and let me know of any issues, or if/ifnot working in what OS, it helps. There is also a Just Basic version, but on the back burner for now. Couldn't get any help testing in the JB forum. Click the image for larger view

It looks interesting and useful. So how do we get a copy to test?

A link is provided to anyone who wishes to help with the testing. Preferably experienced users, so if there is any issues, they can deal with them.
Until I can be sure that this app won't mess up a persons PC (it deals with some of the users files), I will keep the link private. A couple of days should prove it's reliability. It has been working for me, but there are timing issues that "may" be a problem for slower/faster PC's than mine. i7 -@ 3.4 ghz - 24 GB ram @ 1333mhz SATA 1 SSD drive running Win 10 Pro, and Linux Mint with WINE in dual boot config.
I have posted code in the past that was creating folders all over the place due to a mistake in my code, so am leary now of posting too soon. The app was using cmd with HIDE and was making folders named HIDE all over the place, and went unnoticed on my PC. - Until I was informed by one of the members at the JB forums.

Code and help file updated a few minutes ago.
-Hardened even more. Logging increased
- new features added 3 way number converter HEX DEC ad BIN added clear all logs button
- new menu items added direct link to Display Settings to Top Menu>Options added Magnifier to Top Menu>Options added Resource Monitor to Menu>Tools added Character Map to Menu>Tools added direct link to forums Menu>Help, and button(lower right)
updated help file and hotkey List changed Notices to Confirms (annoying sound when I'm tired - GONE except on errors)
Getting no errors lately. Once in a while the tkn automation leaves the "Created Notice" for user to [enter], but rare. Doesn't cause an error or issue, other than forcing user intervention. It's a timing issue, and Windows can cause issues with it's background services taking over and delaying the automation too long. (I think) not 100% sure.
Going well, should be ready to post in public soon. The more help I can get by others using it the better.

I notice that you include an EXE file in your project. Some people might be concerned about that. Perhaps you could include a reference to where you got that program and where people can download it instead of including it with your zip file?
Is there a way to produce a version of your tool that does not use an externally sourced EXE?

So, are you comfortable making videos? There's a lot of stuff here, and perhaps a video tour would go a long way to promoting your efforts.

Took a time and read help. Pushed a few buttons 1) my LB is not in default place. Does it save lbpath$ or it is going to ask me for folder every time? It looks like it is going to keep asking... 2) Buttons "Browse\My Projects", "my EXE files", "my TKN files" complain about missing folders. Are they supposed to be created automatically? Then? 3) Why calling a task manager run "explorer c:\Windows\System32\taskmgr.exe" is different from calling calc run "calc.exe" or notepad run "notepad.exe" ? (though it looks like it works in Win10 both ways)

So, are you comfortable making videos? There's a lot of stuff here, and perhaps a video tour would go a long way to promoting your efforts. Making videos isn't something I want to get into. Too many other things I'm working on to learn about something that doesn't interest me The help file explains how it works, and what it does. Each "categorie" saves New listings, and whatever the user pastes in the textbox, same as Dictionary. When "Make New Project", BAS<2>EXE, or BAS<2>TKN is used a New Listing (same name as file selected is created in either MyProjects, or Programs, depending on which button is pressed. All other categories are for manually copy, and pasting code into a "New" listing by the user. User has a choice to "Not keep" the project folder created with all the runtime files, or not. If the user chooses to keep the project, then the Run button will Run the selected listing in MyProjects categorie, or Programs categorie. If the user edits the Listing, and saves the file, then Re-Make can be used to Overwrite the old file with the new. I could have loaded it up with files(Programs, examples, snippets, etc), but thought better to let each user save what THEY want to save rather than what some old man thought they would want. It was written more for the newcomers than the experienced user, but is still a good resource for quickly creating Windows, saving code, and getting help. All to help the user learn quickly, and to automate saving code for future use, so the user can concentrate on writing code, rather than searching all over for answers etc. Everything is at their finger tips.
